Ingredients
Scale
- 1 sleeve of salted crackers (like Club or Ritz)
- 1 package of thin-sliced bacon (12 ounces)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for a little kick)
If you’re looking to mix things up, you can substitute turkey bacon for a leaner option. And if you want to add a touch of sweetness, consider sprinkling a bit of maple syrup on top before baking.
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Arrange the crackers in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Cut the bacon slices in half, and wrap each cracker with a half slice of bacon, tucking the ends underneath.
- Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over the bacon-wrapped crackers. If you’re opting for a hint of heat, add a dash of cayenne pepper on top.
- Bake the crackers in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the sugar has caramelized.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a serving platter.
Remember, the secret to these crackers is keeping an eye on them during the last few minutes of baking. You want that perfect crispy bacon without burning the sugar.
