Instructions

  1. Begin by preparing your sponge cake, cutting it into 1-inch cubes. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream with the sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Gently fold the mascarpone cheese into the whipped cream until smooth and well combined.
  4. Layer half of the cake cubes at the bottom of a trifle dish or a large glass bowl.
