  • 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 23 tablespoons milk or cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

If you need to make a swap, you can substitute the blueberries with raspberries or chopped strawberries for a different fruity twist. And for a dairy-free version, almond milk and vegan butter work just as well!

Instructions

Let’s get baking! Follow these steps to create your masterpiece:

  1. In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm milk and let it sit for about 5 minutes, until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and egg. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  4. Once the dough has risen, roll it out on a floured surface into a 12×9 inch rectangle.
  5. Spread the softened butter over the dough. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle evenly over the buttered dough. Scatter the blueberries on top.
  6. Tightly roll up the dough starting from the long side, and cut into 12 even rolls.
  7. Place the rolls in a greased baking pan. Cover and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat your oven to 375°F. Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.
