Ingredients
Scale
The key to this dish lies in selecting the right ingredients, which is something I learned watching my mom whip up magic with just a few pantry staples. Freshness is your best friend here, especially when it comes to the strawberries and yogurt.
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
- 1 cup Greek yogurt (vanilla or plain)
- 1 cup chocolate chips (dark or milk, your choice)
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
If you’re out of Greek yogurt, regular yogurt works too, but Greek provides a nice, thick coating. For a dairy-free option, coconut yogurt is a delicious alternative. And if you’re feeling adventurous, try adding a sprinkle of sea salt over the chocolate before it sets—it adds a delightful contrast!
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- Dip each strawberry half into the Greek yogurt, ensuring it’s fully coated.
- Place the yogurt-covered strawberries on the prepared baking sheet and freeze for about 30 minutes, or until the yogurt is firm.
- While waiting, melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil together in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
- Remove the strawberries from the freezer and dip each into the melted chocolate, letting any excess drip off before placing back on the baking sheet.
- Return the tray to the freezer for another 20 minutes or until the chocolate is set.
