- 12 oz spaghetti
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup diced onions
- 1/2 cup diced green bell peppers
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pound ground beef or turkey
- 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes, drained
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Feel free to substitute ground beef with turkey for a leaner option, or add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, sauté the onions and bell peppers over medium heat until they are soft, about 5 minutes.
- Add the garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef or turkey. Cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained spaghetti, meat mixture, heavy cream, and half of the cheeses. Mix well.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish. Top with the remaining cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
