Scale
The key to this dish lies in selecting the right ingredients, focusing on freshness and quality. Trust me, it makes all the difference between a good meal and a great one.
- 1 pound chicken tenders
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise (for dip)
- 1/4 cup ketchup (for dip)
- 1/4 cup honey mustard (for dip)
If you’re missing an ingredient, no worries! Swap breadcrumbs with crushed cornflakes for extra crunch or use Greek yogurt instead of mayo for a lighter dip.
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper, just in case you want to bake instead of fry.
- In a shallow bowl, mix the flour, salt, and pepper. In another bowl, beat the eggs. In a third bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, Parmesan, and minced garlic.
- Dip each chicken tender first in the flour, then the egg, and finally, coat evenly in the breadcrumb mixture.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the tenders in batches for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy. Alternatively, bake them for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- While the tenders are cooking, prepare your dips by mixing mayonnaise, ketchup, and honey mustard in separate bowls.
- Once the tenders are done, drain them on paper towels and serve hot with your dip trio.
