Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound fresh crab meat (or canned, if you’re in a pinch)
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko works best for a crunchy topping)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and lemon juice. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- Gently fold in the crab meat, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, green onions, salt, and pepper until everything is well combined. Be careful not to break up the crab too much; you want to keep those lovely chunks!
- Using a small scoop or your hands, form the mixture into balls about the size of golf balls. Roll each ball in breadcrumbs to coat evenly.
- Place the crab bombs on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and heated through. You’ll know they’re ready when they’re bubbling slightly and the tops are crispy.
- Let them cool for a few minutes before serving. Trust me, the aroma will be irresistible, and you won’t want to burn your tongue on the first bite!
