Ingredients
Scale
The key to this dish lies in selecting the right ingredients that are both fresh and of good quality. I always say, if your ingredients are happy, your meal will be too.
- 1 pound chicken tenders
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup honey
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
If you’re out of paprika, a pinch of cayenne can add a nice kick. And for those who prefer a gluten-free option, almond flour works beautifully here.
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Coat each chicken tender in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken tenders and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Transfer the chicken to the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until cooked through.
- Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Stir in the honey and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Allow it to cook until slightly thickened, about 3-4 minutes.
- Remove chicken tenders from the oven and drizzle with the honey garlic sauce before serving.
