Ingredients
Scale
The key to this dish lies in selecting the right ingredients. I always say, the better your ingredients, the better your meal. Opt for fresh ricotta and quality pepperoni for the best flavor.
- 1 pre-made pizza dough (or homemade if you’re feeling adventurous)
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup sliced pepperoni
- 1/4 cup hot honey (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven while it heats up.
- Roll out your pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer it to a parchment-lined baking sheet or a pizza peel if using a stone.
- Brush the dough with olive oil, then spread the ricotta cheese evenly over the surface, leaving a border for the crust.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over the ricotta, then add the sliced pepperoni evenly across the pizza.
- Transfer the pizza to the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and drizzle with hot honey. If you’re using red pepper flakes, sprinkle them on top.
- Garnish with fresh basil leaves before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
