Ingredients
- 1 Iaso Original Brew Tea bag
- 8 cups filtered water
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (optional, for a bright, citrusy twist)
- 1–2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup (optional, to sweeten gently)
- Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish and added freshness)
If you’re out of lemon, a splash of apple cider vinegar can add a similar bright note. And if you prefer your tea without sweeteners, that’s perfectly fine too—the natural herbal blend stands strong on its own. I often skip the extras when mornings are rushed, but adding a little honey and lemon in the evenings feels like a small treat after a long day.
Instructions
- Bring 8 cups of filtered water to a rolling boil in a large pot or kettle.
- Remove from heat and immediately add the Iaso Original Brew Tea bag to the hot water.
- Cover the pot or kettle with a lid to keep the heat in, and let the tea steep for 15 minutes. This slow steeping draws out all the herbal goodness and flavors.
- After steeping, remove the tea bag and discard it.
- If you like, stir in 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice to brighten the flavor.
- Add 1-2 teaspoons of honey or maple syrup if you prefer a touch of sweetness; stir until dissolved.
- Pour the tea into your favorite mug or a heatproof pitcher if serving multiple people.
- Garnish with fresh mint leaves for a refreshing aroma and extra flair, if desired.
- Enjoy warm, or let it cool and serve over ice for a refreshing iced tea variation.
Quick tip from my kitchen chaos: I like to steep a big batch at night and keep it in the fridge so I can grab a glass in the morning without any fuss. My kids don’t always understand why I’m sipping “mom’s special tea,” but it’s my little reminder to pause and take a breath during hectic days.
