Spice Up Your Snack Game with Jalapeno Popper Pigs in a Blanket

Learn how to make delicious Jalapeno Popper Pigs in a Blanket. Easy recipe with step-by-step instructions.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

Gathering the ingredients for Jalapeno Popper Pigs in a Blanket is half the fun! Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1 package of crescent roll dough (about 8 oz)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup diced jalapenos (fresh or pickled, depending on your spice level)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 package of cocktail sausages (or mini hot dogs)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Optional: chopped green onions for garnish

I often swap out the cheddar for pepper jack for an extra spicy twist. And if you have kids who are sensitive to heat, feel free to reduce the amount of jalapenos or even skip them altogether!

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, diced jalapenos, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, and onion powder until well combined.
  3. Open the package of crescent roll dough and unroll it on a clean surface. Cut the dough into triangles.
  4. Place about a tablespoon of the cheese mixture at the wide end of each triangle, then top it with a cocktail sausage.
  5. Roll the dough around the sausage, starting at the wide end, and pinch to seal. Place each wrapped sausage seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and puffed up.
  7. Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Garnish with chopped green onions if desired.

As you can see, this recipe is straightforward! I always involve my kids in the rolling process, and it turns into a hilarious little assembly line. They love to see how their creations turn out!
