- 8 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 2 cups of sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons bourbon
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Substitution tip: If bourbon isn’t your thing, a splash of apple juice can add a nice sweetness without the alcohol.
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish lightly with oil or non-stick spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, and maple syrup until smooth and creamy.
- Stir in the bourbon, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese.
- Fold in the crumbled bacon, reserving a small amount for topping.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Remove from the oven, top with reserved bacon, and let it cool slightly before serving.
