Sweet & Savory Delight: Maple Chicken Sliders That Wow

Learn how to make delicious Maple Chicken Sliders. Easy recipe with step-by-step instructions.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 12 slider buns
  • 1 cup coleslaw mix
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Feel free to play around with the ingredients. If you’re out of Dijon mustard, regular mustard will do in a pinch. You can swap out the coleslaw mix for a simple lettuce and tomato combo if you prefer, but that tangy crunch really elevates these sliders to the next level.

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder.
  3. In a small bowl, combine maple syrup and Dijon mustard. Set aside.
  4. Place the chicken on the prepared baking sheet and brush generously with the maple-mustard mixture.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and juices run clear. A meat thermometer should read 165°F (74°C).
  6. Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, mix the coleslaw mix with mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, and honey. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Let it sit in the fridge to allow flavors to meld.
  7. Once the chicken is cooked, allow it to rest for a few minutes before slicing into bite-sized pieces.
  8. Assemble the sliders by placing a few pieces of chicken on each bun, top with the prepared coleslaw, and cover with the top bun.

Remember, cooking should be fun, not stressful. If your kitchen’s a bit chaotic, just embrace it! The best meals come from happy accidents and a sprinkle of improvisation.
