The key to this dish lies in selecting the right ingredients, ensuring each component complements the others while bringing its own unique flavor to the table.

  • 1 package of frozen potstickers (about 24 pieces)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup sugar snap peas
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Feel free to substitute the veggies with what you have on hand. Broccoli or zucchini would work beautifully here too.

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the potstickers in a single layer and cook until the bottoms are golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Pour 1/4 cup of water into the skillet, cover, and steam the potstickers until the water evaporates and they are fully cooked, about 5 minutes. Transfer to a plate and keep warm.
  3. In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of oil. Toss in the red pepper, sugar snap peas, and onion, cooking until tender-crisp, about 4 minutes.
  4. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  5. Return the potstickers to the skillet and add soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil. Stir to combine and cook for another 2 minutes.
  6. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
