- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup fresh or frozen raspberries
- 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
Creating these bars is as straightforward as it gets. Follow these steps, and soon your kitchen will be filled with the comforting aroma of homemade goodness.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving a bit of overhang on the sides for easy removal.
- In a medium bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs with the melted butter until the crumbs are evenly coated. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to create a crust.
- Sprinkle the shredded coconut evenly over the crust, followed by the chocolate chips.
- Distribute the raspberries across the top. If using frozen raspberries, there’s no need to thaw them first.
- In a small bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk, salt, and vanilla extract. Pour this mixture evenly over the top of the assembled layers, ensuring everything is well-covered.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and slightly bubbly. This is where the magic happens as everything melds together.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack. Once cooled, use the parchment paper overhang to lift the bars out and cut them into squares.
