  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (for frying)

For the Creamy Lemon Garlic Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt (or sour cream)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the canned salmon, breadcrumbs, onion, parsley, eggs, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until everything is well incorporated.
  2. Form the mixture into patties, about the size of your palm. I usually get around 6-8 patties from this recipe.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the patties. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Remember, that a good sear locks in flavor!
  4. While the patties are cooking, whisk together the Greek yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and pepper in a small bowl to create the creamy sauce.
  5. Once the patties are done, let them rest on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb any excess oil.
  6. Serve the salmon patties warm, topped with a generous dollop of the creamy lemon garlic sauce. Enjoy the blend of textures and flavors with every bite!
