Ingredients
Scale
The key to this dish lies in selecting the right ingredients, focusing on freshness and quality. Growing up, I learned from my mom that even the simplest ingredients could create magic, and this dish is a testament to that.
- 4 bone-in pork chops
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (for thickening sauce, optional)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, apple cider vinegar, black pepper, and salt.
- Place pork chops in the slow cooker and pour the honey garlic mixture over them.
- Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or until the pork is tender.
- If you prefer a thicker sauce, remove the pork chops once cooked and whisk in cornstarch into the sauce. Let it simmer in the slow cooker for an additional 10 minutes.
- Return pork chops to the slow cooker and coat them with the thickened sauce before serving.
