Ingredients
Scale
The key to this dish lies in selecting the right ingredients, keeping it simple yet high-quality. My mom taught me that even a few humble ingredients can create magic with the right touch.
- 1 pound of sirloin steak, cut into strips
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped (optional)
- 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped (optional)
If you’re out of fresh herbs, dried ones work just fine. And if sirloin isn’t your favorite, substitute with ribeye for an extra tender touch.
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the steak strips, cooking until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium, add the butter to the skillet, and let it melt.
- Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Let the flavors meld for about 1 minute.
- Return the steak to the skillet, tossing to coat in the buttery mixture.
- If using, sprinkle fresh thyme and rosemary over the steak and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Serve immediately, while the steak is tender and juicy.
