Hey there, I’m Maya
A mom of two, former full-time office worker turned passionate home cook, and the voice behind HomeFoodieRecipes.com. I wasn’t raised in a restaurant or a professional kitchen. I was raised in a small, lively apartment where dinner was late, loud, and always full of love. My earliest food memories are of standing on a wobbly chair next to my dad, watching him stir big pots of lentils and rice while telling stories about his childhood meals. My mom? She could turn a can of tomatoes and three spices into magic.
Home cooking isn’t about perfection.
It’s about messy counters, full plates, and feeding your people with love—one imperfect meal at a time.
I created HomeFoodieRecipes in the middle of a crazy season—kids, work, and zero time to cook. I was tired of recipes with a thousand steps and ingredients I couldn’t even pronounce. I needed meals that were simple, tasty, and realistic. And I figured… if I needed that, maybe you do too. This blog is my way of sharing what works in a real kitchen like mine. The wins, the shortcuts, the cozy favorites. Everything you see here has been cooked, tweaked, and loved—right at home.
On HomeFoodieRecipes, you’ll find:
✅ Easy recipes for weeknight dinners
✅ One-pan meals and slow cooker favorites
✅ Family-approved comfort food
✅ Quick desserts for sweet cravings
✅ Tips for beginners and tired cooks
✅ A little humor, because life is messy
I’m so glad you’re here. Whether you’re cooking for one or feeding a whole crew, I hope you find recipes that bring comfort and joy to your kitchen.
