Ingredients
Scale
- 6 flour tortillas
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 bananas, sliced
- 1 cup strawberries, sliced
- 1/2 cup pineapple chunks
- 1/2 cup chocolate syrup
- 1/4 cup caramel sauce
- 1 cup whipped cream
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- 1/4 cup maraschino cherries
If you’re short on tortillas, you can easily substitute with your favorite store-bought cinnamon chips, saving you a step while still keeping that delightful crunch.
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- Cut the tortillas into triangle-shaped chips. I usually go for 8 pieces per tortilla to keep them bite-sized and fun.
- In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar with cinnamon. This combo always reminds me of my mom’s magic touch with simple ingredients.
- Brush the tortilla chips with melted butter and sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture generously over them.
- Arrange the chips in a single layer on the baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes or until they’re golden and crispy. The smell is irresistible, so be prepared for eager little hands reaching over the counter!
- Let the chips cool slightly, then arrange them on a large platter. Top with banana slices, strawberries, and pineapple chunks.
- Drizzle chocolate syrup and caramel sauce over the fruit-topped chips, then add dollops of whipped cream.
- Sprinkle with chopped nuts if using, and finish with maraschino cherries on top. Serve immediately and enjoy the smiles all around.
