Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 cups cooked pasta (penne or rotini work well)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Feel free to swap the ground beef for ground turkey or chicken if that’s what you have. And if you’re feeling adventurous, add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a little kick!
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a medium-sized baking dish.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef along with the chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until the beef is no longer pink and the onions are translucent, about 5-7 minutes.
- Drain any excess fat, then stir in the tomato sauce, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld beautifully.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, beef mixture, half of the shredded cheese, and the sour cream. Mix until everything is well incorporated.
- Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Let it cool for a few minutes, then garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
