Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ pounds pork tenderloin
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ teaspoon salt
If you’re running low on Dijon mustard, a spicy brown mustard makes a great substitute. And if fresh garlic isn’t handy, garlic powder will do just fine—because flexibility is key in a busy kitchen!
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). While it warms, prepare a baking dish by brushing it with olive oil.
- In a small bowl, whisk together brown sugar, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, ground ginger, and black pepper to form a glaze.
- Pat the pork tenderloin dry with paper towels, then season it lightly with salt.
- Place the tenderloin in the prepared baking dish and pour the glaze over it, ensuring it’s well-coated.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C). Baste the tenderloin with the glaze every 10 minutes to enhance its flavor.
- Once done, remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Remember, cooking is an art, not a science. Trust your senses! If the glaze starts to caramelize too quickly, a little foil tent can work wonders.
