Decadent Delights: Caramelized Apple Waffle Pastries for Your Sweet Tooth Adventure

Learn how to make delicious Caramelized Apple Waffle Pastries. Easy recipe with step-by-step instructions.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

Let’s keep it simple and scrumptious, just like my mom taught me. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 2 large apples, peeled and sliced thin
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 package of puff pastry sheets, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup (optional for drizzling)

If you’re missing an ingredient, don’t worry. Swap brown sugar for white, or use honey instead of maple syrup. The beauty of home cooking is its flexibility!

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the apple slices, brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Cook until the apples are tender and the sugar has caramelized, about 5-7 minutes. Let it cool slightly.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface. Cut each sheet into 4 squares.
  4. Place a spoonful of the caramelized apple mixture in the center of each square.
  5. Fold the squares diagonally to form a triangle and press the edges with a fork to seal.
  6. Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  7. Place the pastries on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Drizzle with maple syrup if desired.

This is where you can get the kids involved! My little ones love to help seal the edges with a fork—it’s like edible arts and crafts!
