- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tablespoons brewed chai tea (strong)

Let’s get baking! Here’s how you can create these cozy Chai cinnamon rolls right in your kitchen.
- In a small bowl, mix the warm milk with the active dry yeast and a pinch of sugar. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, salt, and spices. Stir well.
- Add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and vanilla extract to the flour mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes, until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for about an hour, or until doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Punch down the risen dough and roll it out into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
- Spread the softened butter over the dough, then sprinkle with brown sugar and the remaining spices.
- Roll up the dough tightly from one long side to the other, then slice into 12 rolls.
- Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 20-30 minutes.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
