Ingredients
Scale
Gather these ingredients, and you’re halfway to flavor town:
- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 12 slider buns
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
If you’re missing an ingredient or two, don’t fret. Swap the mozzarella for cheddar or use dried parsley instead of fresh. Remember, home cooking is all about making it work with what you have.
Instructions
Let’s get cooking! Follow these steps to bring these sliders to life:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before shredding.
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter with garlic powder and chopped parsley. Set aside.
- Place the bottom halves of the slider buns on the prepared baking sheet.
- Spread the shredded chicken evenly over the buns, then sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Place the top halves of the buns over the cheese layer.
- Brush the tops of the buns with the garlic butter mixture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven, let them cool for a minute or two, and serve warm.
Remember, the kitchen is your playground. Adjust the seasoning to your liking and, most importantly, have fun with it!
