Explosive Flavor Alert Crabby Shrimp-Stuffed Garlic Bread Bombs

Learn how to make delicious Crabby Shrimp-Stuffed Garlic Bread Bombs. Easy recipe with step-by-step instructions.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

  • 1 loaf of French bread
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 pound cooked shrimp, chopped
  • 1/2 pound crab meat
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Feel free to substitute cream cheese with Greek yogurt for a lighter version. If you’re out of French bread, any crusty loaf will do the trick!

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice the French bread into 2-inch thick slices, then hollow out the centers to create a cavity for the filling.
  3. In a bowl, mix the melted butter and minced garlic, then brush this mixture over the bread slices generously.
  4. In another bowl, combine the chopped shrimp, crab meat, cream cheese, mayonnaise, mozzarella cheese, lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, and parsley. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Spoon the seafood mixture into the hollowed bread slices, making sure to pack it in well.
  6. Place the stuffed bread pieces on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  7. Let them cool slightly before serving, as the filling will be hot.

During the baking, you’ll see the cheese bubble and the tops turn golden brown—it’s a sign that deliciousness is about to happen. Remember, cooking times can vary based on your oven’s temperament, much like my mom’s magic with spices.
