Instructions

  1. Start by patting the shrimp dry with paper towels. This ensures they get a nice, crispy coating.
  2. In a bowl, toss the shrimp with cornstarch, salt, and pepper until they are evenly coated.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the shrimp in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they are golden and crispy. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  5. Add the chili flakes, soy sauce, honey, and rice vinegar. Stir the mixture until it begins to bubble and thicken slightly.
  6. Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet, tossing them in the sauce until they are well coated.
  7. Remove from heat and garnish with green onions. Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side for an extra zing.
