  • 3 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Start by preparing your beef. In a bowl, combine the cornstarch, all-purpose flour, salt, and pepper. Toss the beef slices in this mixture until they’re evenly coated.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, fry the beef in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Cook until each piece is crispy and golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  3. In the same skillet, discard excess oil, leaving about a tablespoon. Add the garlic and ginger, sautéing until fragrant.
  4. Next, add the soy sauce, sweet chili sauce, honey, and rice vinegar to the skillet. Stir until the sauce is well combined and starts to thicken.
  5. Return the crispy beef to the skillet, tossing to coat each piece in the sticky sauce. Add the bell pepper slices and stir-fry for an additional 2 minutes until they’re tender-crisp.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
