Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds chicken wings, separated at the joint
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional, for a zesty kick)
Feel free to substitute dried parsley with fresh if you have some on hand. As for the lemon juice, I love adding a splash for some brightness, but that’s entirely up to you!
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. This will help the wings cook evenly and get that lovely crispy texture.
- In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with olive oil, salt, and pepper until they are well-coated.
- Arrange the wings in a single layer on the wire rack. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through to ensure even cooking.
- While the wings are baking, melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Be careful not to let the garlic burn!
- Remove the saucepan from heat, then stir in the Parmesan cheese and dried parsley until well combined.
- Once the wings are done, remove them from the oven and place them in a large bowl. Pour the garlic butter mixture over the wings and toss until each wing is thoroughly coated.
- If you’re feeling adventurous, sprinkle a little extra Parmesan on top for good measure. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Pro tip: If you want even crispier wings, pop them under the broiler for an additional 2-3 minutes after baking.
