Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound chicken tenders
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
If you’re short on Dijon mustard, feel free to substitute with any mustard you have on hand, though Dijon gives it a lovely tanginess. And if apple cider vinegar isn’t in your pantry, white wine vinegar works just as well!
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, Dijon mustard, olive oil, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined. This marinade is key; it’s what gives the chicken its irresistible flavor.
- Place the chicken tenders in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Ensure each piece is well coated, then cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes. If you have more time, let it marinate for up to two hours for deeper flavor.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If you’re using a grill pan indoors, heat it over medium-high as well.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing any excess to drip off, and place the tenders on the grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until the chicken is cooked through and has beautiful grill marks.
- Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving. This step helps retain the juices, ensuring your tenders are succulent and juicy.
