Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup honey mustard sauce
- 2 cups pretzels, crushed into small pieces
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
If you’re out of honey mustard sauce, you can mix equal parts of honey and Dijon mustard. And for a gluten-free option, swap out the pretzels for gluten-free pretzels or even crushed cornflakes.
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a shallow bowl, pour the honey mustard sauce. In another shallow dish, combine the crushed pretzels, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Dip each chicken breast into the honey mustard sauce, ensuring it’s well coated, then press into the pretzel mixture, coating evenly.
- Place the chicken on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle with melted butter for extra crispiness.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the pretzel crust is golden brown.
Remember, the key here is not to stress about perfection. If the crust isn’t perfectly even, that’s okay! It’s the love that counts.
