Ingredients
Scale
Keeping it simple is my mantra, and this recipe stays true to that philosophy. Here’s what you’ll need:
- 1 pound of boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons hot honey (or regular honey plus 1 teaspoon hot sauce)
- 12 ounces fettuccine pasta
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Feel free to substitute the fettuccine with your favorite pasta or swap the heavy cream for half-and-half if you’re looking for a lighter option.
Instructions
Let’s get cooking! Follow these steps, and you’ll have a delicious meal on the table in no time:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook until al dente, about 10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken strips, season with salt and pepper, and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add the garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, add the hot honey, and stir to coat the chicken in the sauce. Let it simmer for a few minutes to thicken slightly.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to combine everything beautifully.
- Serve with a sprinkle of fresh parsley for that extra pop of color and freshness.
And there you have it! A dish that’s as delightful to eat as it is to make.
