Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 large lettuce leaves (Romaine or iceberg work great)
- 8 slices of cooked bacon
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1 medium tomato, sliced
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- Optional: shredded cheese of your choice
Substitution suggestions: If you don’t have Dijon mustard, regular yellow mustard works just fine. No avocado? Feel free to substitute with some creamy hummus or even a slice of cheese.
Instructions
- Start by prepping your chicken breasts. Season them with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and no longer pink inside.
- While the chicken is cooking, prepare your lettuce leaves. Rinse them well and pat them dry with a paper towel.
- In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise and Dijon mustard. This will be your wrap spread, adding a nice tangy flavor.
- Once the chicken is done, let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it into strips.
- Now, assemble your wraps! Lay out a lettuce leaf, spread a little mayo-mustard mixture on it, and layer with sliced chicken, bacon, avocado, and tomato.
- If you’re feeling extra cheesy, sprinkle some shredded cheese on top. Wrap it up tightly, and you’re ready to dig in!
Pro tip: Don’t worry if the lettuce tears a little. It’s all part of the home-cooked charm!
