Sweet and Savory Delight: Maple Glazed Bacon Carrots for Your Next Feast

Learn how to make delicious Maple Glazed Bacon Carrots. Easy recipe with step-by-step instructions.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

  • 1 pound of carrots, peeled and cut into sticks
  • 4 strips of bacon, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons of pure maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh thyme leaves (optional)

Don’t have fresh thyme? No worries. You can substitute it with a pinch of dried thyme or even rosemary for a different flavor twist. Remember, cooking at home is about using what you have and making it work!

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. Spread the carrot sticks on the baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Toss them around to coat evenly.
  3. Scatter the chopped bacon over the carrots. Trust me, this is where the magic begins.
  4. Roast in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, stirring halfway through to ensure even cooking.
  5. Remove the tray from the oven and drizzle the maple syrup over the carrots and bacon. Toss everything gently to coat.
  6. Return to the oven and roast for an additional 10 minutes or until the bacon is crispy and the carrots are tender.
  7. If using, sprinkle the fresh thyme leaves over the top before serving. Enjoy the aromatic burst that makes the dish extra special.
