Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 1/2 cups packed light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar until smooth. Add in the maple syrup and continue to whisk until well combined.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, until the mixture is smooth and glossy.
- In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold this dry mixture into the wet ingredients using a spatula, just until combined.
- Gently fold in the chopped pecans, ensuring they’re evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the blondies to cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before lifting them out using the parchment paper overhang. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
