Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup of crushed graham crackers
- 1/4 cup of melted butter
- 1 cup of cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup of powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 cup of heavy whipping cream
- 1 cup of fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries work wonderfully)
- Optional: 1/4 cup of chocolate chips or shaved chocolate for garnish
Feel free to swap out the graham crackers with crushed cookies of your choice or use a dairy-free cream cheese alternative if needed. These dessert cups are as flexible as a yoga instructor and just as rewarding!
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the crushed graham crackers with melted butter and mix until it resembles wet sand. Divide this mixture evenly into the bottom of your serving cups and press down to form a crust.
- In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. This step always reminds me of watching my dad stir his pots—smooth, steady, and with a touch of patience.
- In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold this whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until well combined. This light, airy blend is what dreams are made of!
- Layer the cream cheese mixture over the graham cracker crust in the cups. Top with your choice of fresh berries and a sprinkle of chocolate chips, if desired.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld. Trust me, this wait is worth it!
