Quick and Easy One Pan Beef Dinner Recipe for Busy Nights

Learn how to make delicious One Pan Beef Dinner Recipe. Easy recipe with step-by-step instructions.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

Gather these simple ingredients, and you’ll have everything you need to create a delicious dish that even the pickiest eaters will enjoy. In my home, these are pantry staples:

  • 1 pound of beef strips
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup of broccoli florets
  • 1 cup of beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon chili flakes for a kick

Feel free to swap out veggies for whatever you have on hand. My mom always taught me the magic of using what you’ve got.

Instructions

Let’s get cooking! This is where the magic happens:

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef strips and season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
  2. Remove the beef from the pan and set it aside. In the same pan, add the sliced onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion is translucent, about 3 minutes.
  3. Add the red bell pepper and broccoli florets to the pan. Stir and cook for another 4 minutes until they are tender-crisp.
  4. Return the beef to the pan. Pour in the beef broth, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir everything together, scraping up any brown bits on the bottom of the pan.
  5. Let the mixture simmer for about 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. If you like a bit of heat, sprinkle in the chili flakes.
  6. Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary. Serve hot and enjoy the blend of flavors that remind me of those bustling family dinners in our small apartment.
