Instructions
Cooking this dish is as easy as pie—actually, easier. Let’s dive in:
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add the sliced smoked sausage and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove the sausage and set aside.
- In the same pot, add the diced onion and cook until translucent, about 3 minutes. Stir in the garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
- Add the diced tomatoes with their juice, chicken broth, and heavy cream to the pot. Stir to combine.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer, then stir in the penne pasta and paprika. Season with salt and pepper.
