Ingredients
Scale
Here’s what you’ll need to create this wing wonder:
- 2 pounds of chicken wings, split and tips removed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper for a bit of heat
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Substitution tip: If you don’t have smoked paprika on hand, regular paprika works just fine, though it won’t have the same smoky depth.
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
- In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with olive oil, ensuring each piece is well coated.
- In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using).
- Sprinkle the spice mix over the wings and toss until they are evenly coated.
- Arrange the wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. This ensures they roast evenly and get that crispy exterior.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wings are golden brown and cooked through. (When I see those crispy edges, I know they’re ready!)
- Remove from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
