Crispy Parmesan Crusted Salmon Fillets That Will Wow Your Taste Buds

Learn how to make delicious Parmesan Crusted Salmon Fillets. Easy recipe with step-by-step instructions.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Feel free to swap out the breadcrumbs for a gluten-free alternative if needed, or add a pinch of cayenne for a little heat. Remember, cooking is about adapting and making it work for you, just like I did when I first started creating recipes that fit into my hectic life.

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, Italian herbs, salt, and pepper.
  3. Brush the top of each salmon fillet with olive oil to help the crust adhere.
  4. Press the Parmesan mixture onto the top of each fillet, ensuring it’s evenly coated.
  5. Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet, crust side up.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and the crust is golden brown. The fish should flake easily with a fork.
  7. Remove from the oven and let rest for a minute or two before serving with lemon wedges.

Cooking salmon can be intimidating, but it doesn’t have to be. Remember, the goal is to enjoy the process, and if things get a little messy, that’s okay. It’s all part of the fun, just like those lively dinners from my childhood.
