Ingredients
Scale
Let’s keep things simple, just like my mom taught me. Here’s what you’ll need:
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup sliced pepperoni
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Optional: Red pepper flakes for a spicy kick
If you’re out of mozzarella, don’t worry. Cheddar or a Mexican blend works just as well. And if pepperoni isn’t your thing, feel free to swap it out with turkey pepperoni or even sliced mushrooms for a veggie version.
Instructions
Ready to get cooking? Here’s how you do it, one step at a time:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. This will make cleanup a breeze!
- Spread the shredded mozzarella cheese into small circles on the prepared baking sheet. Each circle should be about 2 inches in diameter.
- Top each cheese circle with a slice of pepperoni. If you’re feeling adventurous, sprinkle a little Italian seasoning and garlic powder over the top.
- Slide the baking sheet into the oven and bake for about 8-10 minutes, or until the edges of the cheese are golden and crispy.
- Let them cool for a couple of minutes before transferring to a plate. They’ll crisp up even more as they cool!
One tip I always share: keep an eye on them as they bake. In our fast-paced family life, those extra few seconds in the oven can make a difference between perfect crispy chips and overly browned ones.
