Philly Cheesesteak Quesadillas: A Fusion Fiesta for Your Taste Buds

Learn how to make delicious Philly Cheesesteak Quesadillas. Easy recipe with step-by-step instructions.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

Gathering these ingredients is a breeze, and you probably have most of them in your kitchen already. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1 pound thinly sliced beef (ribeye or sirloin works best)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 8 flour tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded provolone cheese (or substitute with mozzarella)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder for extra flavor

Instructions

Follow these simple steps to create a meal that’s sure to be a hit with your family:

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced beef and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder if using. Cook until the beef is browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and bell pepper. Sauté until the vegetables are softened and slightly caramelized, about 5 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Lay a tortilla flat on a clean surface. Sprinkle a layer of shredded cheese on one half of the tortilla. Top with a portion of the cooked beef, onions, and peppers. Add another layer of cheese on top of the toppings.
  4. Fold the tortilla in half and press gently to secure. Repeat with the remaining tortillas and fillings.
  5. Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Place the quesadilla in the skillet and cook until the tortilla is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side. Flip carefully using a spatula.
  6. Remove from the skillet and let cool slightly before slicing into wedges. Serve warm and enjoy!
