- 4 ripe pears, halved and cored
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons honey (or maple syrup for a vegan twist)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
- Optional: Chopped nuts or a dollop of whipped cream for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup, because who has time for scrubbing pans?
- Place the pear halves on the prepared baking sheet, cut side up. If they wobble, slice a tiny bit off the bottom to stabilize them.
- In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, honey, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
- Brush the mixture generously over the pears, making sure to get into every nook and cranny.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the pears are tender and golden. You’ll know they’re ready when a fork easily pierces through.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. Top with chopped nuts or whipped cream if you’re feeling indulgent!
