Ingredients
Scale
- 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
If you’re out of fresh garlic, a teaspoon of garlic powder works in a pinch. For those avoiding soy, coconut aminos is a great substitute. The beauty of home cooking lies in these little tweaks that make a recipe truly yours.
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes.
- Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle olive oil over the fillets, then season with salt and pepper.
- Brush the honey garlic mixture generously over each salmon fillet, ensuring they’re well-coated.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- For an extra touch, switch the oven to broil for the last 2 minutes to caramelize the glaze.
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving, if desired.
The aroma from the oven will have your kitchen smelling like a five-star restaurant, and the kids might even wander in, noses first, asking what’s for dinner.
