Sizzle and Spice: Irresistible Korean Beef Bites with Gochujang Dip

Learn how to make delicious Spicy Korean Beef Bites with Gochujang Dipping Sauce. Easy recipe with step-by-step instructions.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

  • 1 pound beef sirloin, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)

For the Gochujang Dipping Sauce:

  • 3 tablespoons gochujang
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon water (to thin, if necessary)

If you can’t find gochujang, try substituting with a mix of red chili paste and a dash of soy sauce. It won’t be exactly the same, but it will still be delicious!

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, minced garlic, gochujang, and grated ginger. Stir until well mixed.
  2. Add the beef pieces to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more intense flavor.
  3. While the beef marinates, prepare the gochujang dipping sauce by mixing gochujang, rice vinegar, soy sauce, honey, and sesame oil in a small bowl. Adjust the thickness with water if needed.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the marinated beef. Cook, turning occasionally, until the beef is browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Transfer the beef bites to a serving platter, and sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
  6. Serve immediately with the gochujang dipping sauce on the side. Enjoy the bold flavors and remember, don’t be afraid to get a little messy!
