Ingredients
Scale
- 12 Oreo cookies
- 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, diced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup melted chocolate (optional, for drizzling)
Feel free to substitute the heavy cream with coconut cream for a dairy-free option. If fresh strawberries aren’t available, you can use frozen ones, just make sure to thaw and drain them well. And as someone who loves a good shortcut, pre-crushed Oreo crumbs can save you some time too!
Instructions
- Start by placing the Oreo cookies in a zip-top bag and crush them into fine crumbs using a rolling pin. Alternatively, use a food processor for a quicker option.
- In a medium-sized bowl, whip the heavy cream until it starts to thicken. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, continuing to whip until soft peaks form.
- Gently fold in the diced strawberries into the whipped cream mixture, being careful not to deflate the cream.
- Layer the crushed Oreos at the bottom of each cup, followed by a generous dollop of the strawberry cream mixture. Repeat the layers until the cups are full.
- If desired, drizzle melted chocolate over the top for an extra touch of indulgence. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to set.
These cups are my go-to solution when I need to bring a dessert to a friend’s house at the last minute. And if you’re like me, you’ll appreciate having a few in the fridge for those late-night cravings!
