Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Lemon wedges, for serving (optional)
Feel free to swap out the sirloin for a cut of your choice, like ribeye or tenderloin, if you’re feeling fancy. And if you’re out of fresh parsley, dried parsley will do in a pinch.
Instructions
- Pat the steak cubes dry with a paper towel to ensure a good sear. Season them generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is shimmering, add the steak cubes. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, turning to brown all sides.
- Reduce the heat to medium and add the butter to the skillet. Let it melt, then add the minced garlic. Stir frequently to prevent the garlic from burning, cooking for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Drizzle the Worcestershire sauce over the steak bites and give them a quick toss to coat evenly.
- Remove from heat, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and give it a gentle stir. Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side if desired.
Don’t forget to taste as you go! My dad always said the best cooks know their food by taste, not just by recipe.
